Great day for my Heavy Metal Endurance

And so for UPC
Both left and right hand UPCs are greatly improved

HM LH UPC:
3856 + 7535 + 10459 + 9528 = 31378

HM RH UPC:
3913 + 7848 + 11892 + 10503 = 34156

Also the best HM 2H 30s: 4684

Both Highspeeds and 2H 90s endurance are a bit lower than my records but I am still pleased very much with my Heavy Metal UPC scores.

Making rubber band for my Powerball

Many Powerball beginners, as my self, in the beginning are experiencing problems with Powerball gripping. This is because their hands are not yet used to it. Here I have the solution which could help those powerballers. Must say that this is the best idea I have found so far.
Additional rubber band on lower shell improves your grip, compensates unwanted vibration and protects your fingers from having bad blisters. The only problem with this solution is that it is not permanent and you will have to replace overused rubber bands once in approximately two weeks of daily powerballing.

So, let's begin.
We will need one piece of Marigold's (or any similar) kitchen gloves, scissors (BTW invented by Leonardo Da Vinci), centimeter and the Powerball.

You have to cut any finger part of the glove

Then from that part you have to cut the ring of approximately 4 cm wide. That will be our rubber band.

Now take your Powerball and take off the original rubber band

Now put our Marigold rubber band on the shell

Make sure that one edge of the band will fall into the gap between the shells

From all sides

Adjust the band so the shell will look like that

Now put the original rubber band back on the powerball

It will fixate our rubber band when placed back into the gap properly

Now your Powerball is ready. It is secure and better held in your hand

Do you feel it?

The same way you can put rubber band also on the upper shell, although I believe that covering just the lower shell is enough.

My plastic Powerball March 2009 progress

This was very good month. My High Speed was improved from 12345 rpm to 13544 rpm. Numbers marked as red are my this month best scores in different categories. Numbers marked yellow are my brakes (previous bests).
Must say that UPC here is not always real UPC, sometimes high speed part of it is reached after several attempts after first one, but in many cases it is the first attempt which was the best.
Last column is about spinning with both hands holding one Powerball.
On graphs above you can see good days and also bad days. Bad days usually are days when I had wrist or back pain or my blisters were too painful to spin it better.
This table doesn't show my Akis complex progress. It is because I didn't start it at the beginning of the month, I used it only to warm up, sometimes I did "Burst" Akis sometimes "Gripper" and then scores were too much different. Also sometimes I was mixing Akis complex with my own Powerball exercises.

Understanging scores and records

Many times people are asking me about Powerball scores and records and I have decided to give here some explanation.

First of all, there are 3 main NSD Powerball categories: Plastic, Heavy Metal and Light Metal. These powerballs are different. The difference is in material they are made of, the weight, speed characteristics and sizes. Plastic NSD Powerballs include 250Hz-Pro, Screamer, Neon, Signature and Techno powerballs. All are made of plastic and their speed capability, weight and size are more-less the same. There is only one Heavy Metal model. It is twice as heavy as Plastic powerball, so it requires much more power to put in order to get higher scores. There is also only one Light Metal model. This powerball is really light and very very fast, it is the fastest powerball in the world.

There are several official competition holding for each of Powerball categories:

1. Highest Speed. The highest speed of Powerball rotor rotation is measured
2. Strength 30 second. Maximum number of rotor revolutions made in 30 seconds time period
3. Strength 90 second. Maximum number of rotor revolutions made in 90 seconds time period
4. Dual High Speed. Two powerballs are spun simultaniosly with right and left hands, then speed reached on both powerballs is summing.

Here I will list all Official World Records for each type of competitions and each category.
